Our Approach

Cornerstone Nurseries – Building a strong foundation for your child’s future

Our Key Values

We have the shared RESPONSIBILITY to help develop children’s learning through a play-based curriculum of meaningful ‘real’ experiences to develop their CURIOSITY and interest.

Cornerstone Nurseries practice respectful care-giving and aim to develop at all times an INCLUSIVE environment of mutual CARE, RESPECT and SECURITY where children are free to be themselves whilst celebrating everybody’s individuality and uniqueness.

The Vision

It is our company’s vision that all children who attend our nurseries will have access to a high standard of nursery care and education which has a positive and lasting impact on their future.

We strive to offer the very best possible nursery care and education, creating long lasting memories and strong foundations for the children of families using our services.

We plan a home from home environment which is a happy place for children to explore full of awe & wonder for all children who attend and where parents can leave their children safe in the knowledge that they are well cared for and enjoying their time with us.

A child’s earliest years from birth to five years are crucial, all research shows that this stage of development matters more than any other. If we get Early years right, we pave the way for a lifetime of achievement, If we get it wrong, we miss a unique opportunity to shape a child’s future.”

The Mission

At Cornerstone Nurseries, our mission is to provide quality child care which is flexible to the needs of today’s families whilst remaining affordable to all.

We aim to do this across 2024 through a natural approach to environments and resources which offer a wealth of learning opportunities and spark a natural sense of wonder and awe inspiring curiosity in play and education. We strive to offer secure environments which are clean and plentiful in authentic resources and in space, alongside access to fabulous and natural outdoor provision with real grass and trees, flowers and nature.

Our team regard our settings as a “Home from Home” and work with this in mind at all times. Our mission as we move through 2024 is to build on children’s existing knowledge with meaningful experiences and carefully selected activities developed in the moment rather than planned in advance. We treat all children as individuals, and offer freedom of choice and exploratory play which can be carefully extended and enjoyed together enthusiastically, keeping the children’s enjoyment and well-being as central in everything that we do.

Our staff aim to provide a caring atmosphere where children feel welcomed and nurtured and free to be themselves safe in the knowledge that we are inclusive to the needs of all children every day, recognising what makes children and families individual and celebrating these differences together.

Our Leaders

Our Directors and Management teams aim to be successful, visionary leaders of people and strive to take into account the opinions and ideas of all external and internal stakeholders of our company.

We strive to be passionate about our work and support the people who work for us.
